The ORION Brand

In the interim ORION has established itself worldwide as a recognized erotic brand. This recognition allows the mail order company a special something with brand items: for example, ORION developed a unique erotic souvenir from Flensburg in cooperation with the Flensburg Fjord Tourism. The "Flensburg package" included, among other things, an erotic DVD with the title "Changing Beds in Denmark" – a red vibrator, the massage oil "Lick it" with champagne-and-strawberry flavor, and – likewise in unmistakable design – the Flensburg condom. Unusual fan items like the "That’s hot" coffee mug, the miniature ORION truck, and the ORION folding rule are only a few of the additional gift ideas with sex appeal from ORION.

Image advertisement with charm and spirit came into being in collaboration with the Munich advertising agency Heye & Partner. Advertising efforts such as film spots and placards have many times been awarded with both domestic and foreign distinctions. So it was that ORION and Heye have already twice been nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.

In the summer months the company presents itself through airborne advertisements: so it is that one sees a little sport airplane circling over the event area at open air events in northern Germany – with a forty-meter-long ORION banner bearing the inscription "Erotic from Flensburg" on the towline.

When SG Flensburg-Handewitt plays top-tier handball in the "northern Hell," over 6,000 fans lose their heads and fervently cheer their team on. A handball game in Flensburg is always an experience and is as much a part of the city as the fjord. So it is not surprising that ORION is involved with the sports flagship of the region. Because sponsorship of SG is an important means of strengthening and promoting Flensburg and thus almost obligatory for the erotic specialists.

But not only the giants are supported; ORION also sponsors the jerseys of many smaller, regional women’s and men’s teams in handball, soccer, table tennis, and volleyball, as well as being the main sponsor of the ORION Tennis Cup, which takes place annually on the grounds of the Flensburg Tennis Club.

One partnership with true cult status is the ORION sponsorship of FC St. Pauli. The erotic is at home in Flensburg and now also present on the Millerntor. In the stadium near Hamburg’s sinful mile, one simultaneously sees the ORION logo with the addition "100 Percent Erotic from Flensburg" on two advertising strips. FC St. Pauli is anything but second league – it’s much more a first-class feeling of being alive that simply fits with ORION.
